We have recently been told that one of our customers uses our Gelatine for her horse, to support healthy hoof growth. She tells us that her horse receives an ounce per day (she tends to skip the feeds in summer) in a very small feed...apparently he has a tendency to be overweight! This is her horse’s individual routine and should not be taken as a general feeding recommendation.
We were delighted to have it confirmed, that it’s not just human nail growth that Gelatine is taken to improve, but that horse hooves could benefit too. We were particularly delighted to be sent this photo of our customer’s lovely horse, with her permission to use it on our website and on social media.

Some horse owners use gelatine as part of their horse’s feeding routine, with the aim of supporting hoof, joint, tendon and coat condition.
Gelatine contains amino acids that contribute to proteins such as collagen and keratin. Some horse owners include it in their horse’s feed as part of a wider hoof-care routine, although results can vary.
Our Gelatine is a natural product, it is not mixed with other chemicals and it is easy to include it in your horse's diet. It can be mixed with regular horse feed. As with any supplement, introduce it carefully and seek advice from a vet or qualified equine nutritionist if your horse has specific dietary or health needs.
If you want to include Gelatine in your horse’s diet you can simply dissolve the gelatine in a little warm water and then add that to your horse’s feed, so it becomes a part of your daily routine.
Of course, it is also important to provide a balanced diet for your horse, Gelatine is not a substitute for any other key nutrients, and remember that Gelatine, like any other supplement, should be given in moderation, as over-feeding Gelatine could lead to a nutritional imbalance.
