● Does it contain ingredients that you really don’t need? I checked the ingredients list on the website of a well-known retailer and their collagen supplement tablets list the following ingredients:Fish Collagen Peptide, Bulking Agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose), Glazing Agents (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerol, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose), Ascorbic Acid, Anti-Caking Agent (Magnesium Stearate).
● How many grams of Collagen are you getting in the pack? Now compare that with the price of the item. As a comparison, currently (29/7/2026) 1kg or our Marine Collagen powder costs £54.99, which works out at about 55p for the recommended 10g/day and the pack would therefore last 100 days. A well known collagen supplement powder brand quotes 89p/day. The above-mentioned tablets cost 37p each, but each tablet only contains 1g of Collagen, clearly less than the recommended amount, and so you wonder exactly how beneficial they would be.
Do you really want to pay for fancy Collagen packaging and extra ingredients, or do you just want Collagen, plain and simple?
